Maitland police looking for man who raped woman

Maitland police are searching for a man they say accosted a woman in an apartment stairwell, pushed her into her apartment and raped her.
The attack happened about 1 a.m. Thursday as the woman returned to The Arbors at Maitland Summit on Villa Point Drive, police said.
The suspect is described as black, about 25 years old, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds. He had long dreadlocks, a beard or partial beard and a tattoo on his stomach. He wore a black ski mask, black cloth gloves, a black long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
Police advise women to be aware of their surroundings and travel with another person if possible, particularly at night.
Anyone with information about the attack is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
The case is being investigated by the Maitland Police Department, but the Orange County Sheriff's Office is looking into whether there are any other similar cases.

This could be anywhere in Florida. Florida is home to all witness protection, thugs and child molesters. Your taking your chances anywhere here. It's very transient period. As for the rapes etc.. I have a conceal carry permit... at all times and I'll light your a$$ up. I look meek n harmless but bring it. You need to be aware of your surroundings at all times and at all places. This is 2009 and getting worse every day. Protect yourself.... surprise a neighbor. They will rue the day the F@@k with me... They will be peeing out their beind.
Girl! Wake up! Florida sucks. It's for tourists not families........!!!!!!!!!!! And for the record the food sucks.
