The only reason I moved here was because I had no time to search for other apartments.

NEGATIVES- When I got in, my bathroom tile was peeled up everywhere because of severe mildew problems (that little fan in the bathroom' Doesn't work) and it took them weeks to outsource people to come fix it. (Who also put mildew all over the tub and toilet...Thanks guys!)

There was a severe ant infestation of large ants everywhere which took us months of squashing to get rid of. The walls in the tub have giant holes in them in which mildew has rotted...The paint in the bathroom sink has recently come up to reveal the famous rust I have read everyone talking about- I don't even want to know how deep the rust goes. The carpet is the short, hard, dirty, office like kind- unless you got "lucky" and got one of the "remodeled" apartments in which they gave you wood flooring.

Which leads me to the noise. You can hear every footstep your neighbor takes if you live below, and everytime your next door neighbor flushes the toilet, washes his/her hands, whatever, you will hear it. And god forbid them being argumentative teenage girls or dogs or you will never have any sleep.

The curtains at the windows mildew badly...Mildew is a major problem in my apartment, even with the air conditioning being at 75 all the time. Which my air conditioner has broken about every other month for the past year. We also get about 10 minutes of hot water every morning, which I love. Husband's car was also broken into for his GPS...Really appreciated that. My car was towed the DAY the tag went out on it and I lost my car as not having the money to pay it.

Positives- Maintenance team comes quickly, and they're nice guys. Unfortunately you will be seeing them just about every week if you try to fix everything that is wrong. The other positive is the location...it's near UCF which is in turn by food and shopping but so are tons of other apartments. The Internet is pretty good here when it doesn't randomly go down, but that's it.

CONCLUSION- Don't move here! It may look nice but that's only because they've painted over the rust, replaced the carpet and hidden the rest. It's waaaayyy too expensive for the kind of noise and old apartments these are, plus once you try to break the lease, expect to have to pay 1000$ and wait 2 months before you can move out. As for me, I plan to move out ASAP, no matter how much money it costs. I'm not a picky person, I've lived in the ghetto, and been to some really bad places, but this is up there with the projects in terms of how well its taken care of. Just don't do it, unless you don't have a choice! This was a horrible first apartment experience which I hope no one has to ever repeat. A little hint- stay away from any apartment on the bottom.
