The Azur at Metrowest (Formerly Colonial Grand Apartments) has gone condo. Do yourselves a favor and look up Marina Landing Apartments (It's right across the street from The Azur) before buying a condo here.

Marina Landing Apartments and Sabal Palms apartments have suffered several murders, rapes, car jackings, car thefts, and robberies. The Azur at Metrowest has also suffered from car theft, and robberies at gunpoint (IE Being mugged)

When the complex fills back up. Parking will be a nightmare. You will end up parking at Sabal Palms, or worse, Winn Dixie down the street..

The A/C units are old and underpowered for the 9 foot ceilings (We noticed before we moved out that they recovered our A/C unit to get rid of the rusted top grill, but if you look closely you can still see all the rust on a lot of the units.) Expect to pay $180.00 a month in electricity during the summer months for a 1st floor 1 bedroom. The appliances are old and bottom of the line. No self cleaning oven, and a 10 year old fridge with a very LOUD icemaker. Our tile was chipped when we moved in, in the entryway, kitchen, and bathroom. The walls and ceilings don't seem to line up correctly, and the toilets are too small for anyone over the age of 13. And expect to pay $300.00 a month in condo association fees (and expect this to go up because it only covers lawn maintenance and pool upkeep.) The roofs are old and stained and will need to be replaced in the next year or two, they will ultimately have to hire 24 security like a lot of the other places are doing, and all of this will see those $300.00 fees raised quite a bit in the next 1-2 years. College kids gate hop into the complex so they can go drinking down by the lake (I had to run several of them off.) More than once we saw kids getting high by the trash dumpster and there is a lot of foot traffic through the area because a lot of poor people make the trek up to winn dixie to buy food. And the walls are extremely thin.

The bathrooms are nice. The kitchens are nice, but they're not $160,000.00 nice. More like $90,000.00 nice, if that.

Stay away from the Azur at Metrowest, Marina Landings and Sabal Palms. For that matter, stay away from Metrowest all together.

We were happy to be shut of it after all the murders and rapes that took place.
