I am a female that lived in Boardwalk my first year at UCF. Granted, this was about 4 years ago, but you should still consider my experience.
Yes, It's nice, its big. My balcony was actually right on the pool... which was wonderful.
BUT... about a week before my lease ended and my other roomates were already out I had a TERRIBLE experience. Keep in mind that my lease was not up yet, and management needs to give you prior notice before entering your apartment- it's the law! Well... I was IN THE SHOWER with the door to my room unlocked and 3 maintenance men walked into my apartment, without knocking or prior notice and basically walked in on me in the shower. Here I am, a 19 year old female in the shower with 3 strange men walking into my apartment.

Oh yeah... just like every other apartment complex, they STEAL your deposit. This shouldn't be surprising, just make sure you get someone from the office to do a WALK THROUGH with you present. DO NOT MOVE OUT UNTIL YOU DO THIS. They'll say they are "backed up" or too busy... you need them to walk through with you present before you turn in your keys. TRUST ME.
