Anyone looking at these kinds of sites needs to realize that people that are upset about something will want to complain. What about the residents that are happy here, and think it's great' They don't usually have a reason to log on here and write something. I wasn't even going to because I had to register, but there needs to be a fair opinion of these apartments.
My refrigerator broke one day. I called to have them fix it, and a guy came out the next day. He had it fixed in maybe 15 minutes, and it has been fine ever since. I needed an air filter for my A/C, but they said they were out. They are very inexpensive, I just bought one the next time I was at the store. Less than $5.00.
The management can be hard to contact via phone sometimes. There are a LOT of units and they can get overwhelmed. Going in person has always worked when I couldn't get through. The lobby in the office is really nice, and there are comfy chairs and air conditioning if you have to wait a few minutes.
The location is really great, it seems like it's about 15-20 minutes at the most to anywhere I'd want to go. Even Universal is maybe 22 minutes away. Not too bad.
The apartments are pretty big, especially the 1 bedrooms. For the price and the size, honestly it can't be beat. There haven't been any problems in my apartment. It can get loud outside sometimes, but they are constructed pretty well. Come in from outside and shut the door and it gets considerably quieter.
It's not perfect though, I will say that. The kids can get loud outside, and sometimes there is loud music. But hey, kids do that. The apartments are still insulated pretty well, so I would think it wouldn't be too bad on the outer units. I'm not sure about the crime. It does seem to have gotten worse in the past few months. There's been police outside on numerous occasions, almost always at night. Lately I have heard gunshots on several occasions.. seems like it's the same people just trying to show off. If you really want to know about crime statistics, though, check with the police or a reliable website. Suggestions: www.osco.com, fdle.state.fl.us are a couple official ones. A lot of sites are not going to have it as specific as apartment complex -- ask the Orlando PD for the best info.
I have had residents say hello to me, and everyone seems to be friendly. I really think most people that live here are just hard-working everyday people. During the day the parking lots are almost empty, and it's REALLY quiet, especially when everyone is at work and/or school. If you work nights, I would think that would work perfectly. The parking spaces are kinda small, so sometimes they are just treated as guidelines and people park with enough room anyway. If you don't mind walking a few hundred feet, there are plenty of spots with car-lengths of space in-between.

You must work at the office or sleeping with the manager I was going to move there and the apartment was empty except for the three hundred roaches welcoming you to the apartment, they ask for a deposit for the pets but they should pay you a deposit for having there pest living in the apartments

I lived in the Brittany's from 12/2006 - 11/2007. I couldn't wait for my lease to end. I could ignore the ignorant people that lived around me, but I couldn't ignore the roaches and managements lack of regards for the condition of my apartment. It took them several days to replace my refrigerator when it broke causing me lose over $200 worth of groceries (of course no reimbursement). Also, they have not returned my deposit and won't answer my questions regarding why. For any one who is having trouble getting your deposit back go to link below. It gives information about Florida's landlord tenant laws.
