When good places go bad and still charge high prices

The Broadwater looks very nice from the outside, and you do feel very safe living here.
Now for the bad:
-The appliances are extreemly old and are falling apart. (The washing machine makes my clothes stink like rust.)
-The pipes are so old that they sprung four leaks in my apartment. (These leaks were fixed by knocking holes in the celing and not fixing said holes for nearly a month and a half.)
-There are cracks in the walls
-There are stains on the carpet
-I'm not sure how they do their pest control, but I was in my apartment when they did it the last time and I don't think they spent more than a minute in the apartment, so how that helps me not have swarms of sugar ants, even though I don't cook, I'll never know.
I was very happy to move into Broadwater because I was getting away from an abusive situation, but now that the freedom factor has worn off I am painfully aware that I am paying far far FAR too much to have a crappy apartment. Don't move here.
