The apartments themselves aren't that horrible. I lived in a 3/2 and it was rather spacious and well worth the rent.
On the other hand, everything else about this place was awful. BEWARE of UDRT - I checked out the other apartments they run in the Orlando area on this website, and none of them have good ratings. I blame the company for all the problems.
Some people wrote of bug problems....I constantly had some sort of bug in the house - thank god my house wasn't overrun by roaches, but we had ants and tiny bugs all the time. If you want pest control, do it yourself with a can of Raid, or a big shoe - it actually gets done.
The maintenance is awful. The MAINTENANCE people were nice, and one man was actually competant, but when I called about a water noise coming from the walls it took about 2 weeks for someone to come out, who told me it was the "air duct system" even though I had water stains coming through my bathroom wall. Thankfully the problem was mostly in my neighbor's house, and it was their bathroom that had to be ripped up. All they did on my side was paint the wall to hide the problem. I can just imagine what they do to the rest of the problems. If you have stairs, watch out for splinters and cuts.
Use about 5 bottles of bleach in your bathroom before you use it....the mold in the shower tracks had so much hair, I could have brushed it. They said it was clean...
Management at these apartments are less than incompetant. After giving my forwarding address on two seperate occasions (when turning in both keys) they still managed to "never get" my address and sent me a bill to my Dover Village address which got to my new address late, and started a landslide of problems. Don't ask about your move out date, they will give you improper information so you break your lease, then try to charge you for rent when they rent your aparment to other people. This is not the first I've seen of this from them ON THIS SITE ALONE!! Talking to the wall gets you the help you need, and the wall could give you the right answer.
When you give notice to move out (which you will if you make the mistake of moving in) make sure you keep a copy of the dated letter, they will write down an improper date and then charge you a month's rent. UDRT is shady - I will NEVER live in another apartment run by them. www.udrt.com check and make sure you don't get screwed by this company - they have properties all over the US!!

Never been a resident, but I have been looking. Wanted to adress the statement about UDRT. You say that all of their properties are bad, but I have seen many A properties that they control. You have to understand that when a property changes hands, renovations are not always immediate. Many can costs millions. A little patience should be given. If it was really so bad before they got there....then it could only get better.
