Yeah, I got suckered in by the cheap prices and sizeable apartments. Reality struck home when I got my first summertime electric bill - $150 for a one bedroom apartment! And that's with leaving the a/c off when I was at work and the thermostat never set below 75 at night!
The staff are horrible people - very cranky and difficult to deal with. Your neighbors are all, shall we say, shady. You definately want to keep your doors locked and blinds down. My car was broken into twice, though I must admit I never had trouble finding a parking space. My apartment had stained carpets when I moved in and an antiquated kitchen.
The bathroom was dark and dingy and the bedroom waaay too big - if some of the square footage from my bedroom could have been transferred to the living room, I'd have been set. At least half my bedroom was wasted space. Plus, the huge, uninsulated windows ensured that the bedroom would heat up very quickly in the summer. If you like waking up in a pool of sweat at 8am, even though your a/c is still on, more power to you.
Save yourself a whole lot of headaches and look somewhere else. What savings you may get on the rent will only end up going to your electric and water bills. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
