I've lived at Dover Village for three years now. This is the best apartment I've ever rented, by far!

The apartments are huge for the money--a one-bedroom has 826 square feet,along with a wet bar, fireplace, exterior locked storage, two porches, trash valet, and monitored security system! Of all the apartments I viewed before moving here in 1999, none other even came close to offering so much space and so many amenities for this price. The area is safe. And because each apartment is on a ground floor, there is virtually no noise intrusion from surrounding apartments. Also, there are numerous large windows even in a one-bedroom, which makes the apartment very light and bright--quite cheery, in fact.

The down side' Two,really. First, maintaince is terrible. It can take weeks or months to have maintaince work done. And if they ever get to the work, it may well not be completed satisfactorily. This is really my biggest complaint with the complex. It shouldn't be so difficult and require so much effort on my part to have necessary work done on my apartment.

The second down side, at least for me, is the amount of sun exposure my aparmtent receives and the difficulty of keeping it cool. All my windows, which are huge, receive direct sun. In summers past, it had been impossible to keep my bedroom (which as west windows) any cooler than about 85 degrees during the afternoon/early evening. My electric bill was also very high (averaging $140 per month for just one person!). This year I bought a small room air conditioner and it has made all the difference. Electric bill much lower now.

Overall, this place is great. Excellent large apartments that are extremely quiet and have excellent amenities. I like my apartment so much that it distresses me to think about moving!
