While there are improvements going on there are thefts and deceptions going on that the management and the contruction company know about. But they are in complete denial about. I myself have have personal property stolen and I have spoken on my own to other tenant that thought that they were alone in being victims.
Their Corporate Office has also been in denial and they are victimizing the victims. The Police will not investigate either. Probably paid off. They also charging me an extra $100 on my rent this month because they think I am a trouble maker. They want me to sign a legal statement of some kind. So far I have not. This organization is Evil!!

Boy, you sure do hate this property, why don't you just move. Sounds like there is more to this issue then what you want to provide to us, the public. Police being paid off....that is a funny one. I take offense to that. What you are doing is a form of slander. Maybe you should have renter's insurance or if you feel the contractor took something from you, then look for payment from them. I live here and have for a few years. I have had no problems with the office, staff or property and they are quick to fix anything. Some people you just can't please.

I have had the same problems as the original poster. I have had nails planted under my tires by the construction crews, the office is informing my neighbors to stay away from me because I do nothing but cause trouble, they have done essentially the same thing as sticking their fingers in their ears when I tell them that they are breaking the law, which I have provided the documentation to them, with their construction. This place IS a dump, and I'm being forced out of my lease early because my home is uninhabitable. Too bad there's more displeased than pleased people here.

While I agree that Dover Village (now The Canopy) is not a high class location, I can guarantee that the construction company and management is not purposely sabatoging their residents. I also know that noone is being forced to pay an extra $100 a month because he/she is a "trouble-maker". Also, I can say with all sincerity that there is no way the Orange County Sheriff's Office is "paid off" to protect the construction crew or management. Perhaps instead of conspiracy theories and complaints you should either be patient and wait for renovations to be completed or move out of the location. Noone is forcing you to stay there. People complain when they have no control over a situation. So suck it up or move on.
