My husband and I moved in over a year ago and we have been pretty lucky considering that other folks in the vicinity have ongoing noise problems. Unfortunately, ours started just this week. All of our neighbors have been great and very quiet, and we have never had a single complaint until now. Also, we have been on the fence about renewing, but now the decision is clear. Two days ago, Centergate graciously agreed to allow 4 eighteen year old boys move into the 3rd floor/2 bedroom apt. above us. Their first night (Monday) was ALL NIGHT party including their friends running up and down the hall stairs hauling more beer. With three visits to their door by my husband, the last one being around 2:30 am, one would think that they would quiet down. By 3:30 am, we had no choice but to call the police. Sometime after 4:00 am we finally got to sleep. The next day all of this was reported to the Centergate management. Since then, nothing has changed. We told the boys ourselves that every footstep they stomp can be heard, including all of the 20 or so people coming and going. We actually had pictures come off our walls. The entire apartment shakes when they walk around. All said and done, I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you are interested in being a part of the frat party. This should also be mentioned; the Village Center tends to draw a ton of passerbyers who drive through the Center with their stereos blasting 24/7. People like to speed through the area so be cautious when walking a dog or crossing a street. Also, one night we encountered a drunk stranger slumped in a dark corner. When we passed by, he came running out at us and scared us to death.
