As far as I can tell this is just a decent place to live. Still, from what I can see, "decent" makes it above average for the Orlando area. I'm from NY where it seems that the standards are different - places down here can look really nice but are usually kind of flimsy and crime seems to blanket all of florida universally as opposed to just the bad areas.

As far as these apartments go, I could harp on poor insulation (visible gaps on the balcony doors when closed, for example), roaches, etc. but this kind of thing seems to be an issue with every apartment I've looked at here. Noise level is ok and I've never seen parties out in the parking lot at night. Remember though that this complex is huge so it might be different depending which side of it you live on. I live practically across the street from the Roxy and I've never been woken up by drunken kids at night. My only real complaint is how over-hyped the Baldwin Park community is in general. You still have to drive through traffic to get anywhere so the whole "proximity" angle doesn't fly with me. The "downtown" area looks promising but at the moment is pretty spare and the only real benefit is the grocery store. Most of the time the streets are empty of pedestrians, even though they have tried to make it pedestrian friendly. On the plus side I haven't heard about there being much crime though, which is nice. The maintenance staff always fixed everything within a day of our complaints.

So overall I think this place is decent, maybe not so good for the money but certainly not as horrible as some of the other reviewers think (but then most people won't bother to write a review until something terrible happens to them).

The main reason I am leaving though is that the building I'm in is going condo. You can still find apartments here but the rent for a 2 bedroom like mine went up from $1350 to $1525 in one year, which puts it over the top for me.
