I lived here for over a year and was SO glad to finally be able to get out of my lease. When I originally tried to move in (on my lease start date of August 1st), I was told that the apartment wasn't ready yet. I had to stay with a friend for six days and put my belongings in storage. Then, when I WAS able to move in, I found that the apartment was FREEZING. The workmen had turned the A/C to full blast (it had been turned on in my name for the 1st) and kept it there! My first electric bill was $300. There were numerous problems after that with no management response. The next year at the end of July, I told them that I wouldn't be renewing my lease. They told me I had to stay until September 30th because I hadn't moved in on the 1st of August!!! This after all of my additional expense and inconvenience due to their incompetence. When I asked for the address of the ownership group, the manager refused to give it to me. I tracked it down (it's in Chicago) and found that their number was unlisted. I did some sleuthing and found it, only to find that they really didn't want to know what was going on down here. Keep away - you have been warned!
