Ok, I'll give it to you straight

The place isn't that bad. Now, if "not that bad" is what you want in an apartment, then you'll be fine. However, if you have pets, there are better choices.
As others have said, the place isn't the prettiest, isn't the safest, and isn't the cheapest. They also have few amenities, piss poor customer service (I can't tell you how much it pisses me off every time they send out a notice. They like to tell you what you have to do, and insist that you bend for them instead of accomodating their customers) and a generally incompetent maintenance staff. And if you come home past 8 or so, forget about parking near your unit. I imagine that's because of all the ghetto thugs that don't live there, but seem to constantly be hanging around.
In other words, you can do better. If you have to live here for some unknown reason, it's not that bad, but I'm moving when my lease is up, and I won't be looking back.
