I was a resident at these apartments for over two years. My first year was not that bad, but my second year was a completly different story. Ever since the new management took over, it has been nothing short of chaos. They really have no idea what they are doing. They tell some residents one thing and then turn around and tell someone else something totally different. ISN'T IT CALLED EQUAL HOUSING'' When the new managament company took over, I still was under my old lease (formally JPI) which meant I was still under their regulations and rules, but yet Equity Residental tried telling me different things, things in which I'm not going to discuss on here. But the new staff was inadequate in every way possible and I was lied to several times and when I caught them in a lie, they would just deny everything that had been said.I even have witness to that testament. After my lease was up, they tried doing several illegal things to me, billing me for things that didn't even exist and so forth. Parking was HORRIBLE!!!! My car got hit several times and I'm sorry but I don't drive a piece of ---- car. I ALWAYS parked in my assigned parking space and yet the people that parked next to me hit my car several times. At times it was so tight that I wasn't able to squeeze thru the cars, I would have to drive all the way around to get to my parking space. It was pretty ridiculous. My neighbors BELOW me were awful. They were probably the loudest people I have ever heard. And the walls were so thin that you could actually smell whenever someone was cooking. You could actually hear the garbage disposal whenever the people ran it. The 'gated community' was pretty much a joke. They use to have a security guard that walked around and that was available 24/7, but that quickly disappeared. The gates in the front got hit several times and were out of commission for quite some time. I do have to say they did keep up on the appearance of the complex as far as landscaping goes, but that is really the only thing they kept up on. My personal opinion would be to bring the old management company back, JPI, and their employees and things would run much more smoothly and professionally. THINGS WOULD ACTUALLY GET DONE AND THEY NEVER LIED. I loved my apartment BUT there are much better places out there and staff that are actually professional and worth my time.
