Nice apartment-crappy parking

I have lived here for several months and I like my apartment just fine. Its a 2BR/2BA and on the 3rd floor. The climb up the stairs sucks (especially when its raining or muggy outside)and forget moving in and out. The appliances work well and the carpet was new when we moved in. The lakeside patio is fine but we found the loud fountain very annoying and distrcting from the scenery. I truly wish they just wouldnt turn on every morning.
Parking here is a joke. We had our assigned spot at the other end of the parking lot from our apartment. The visitor spots were usually full and there are not enough spots if you have 2 cars. I have seen people park in such a way that I am amazed anyone can get out of here in the morning. There was a night a few weeks ago when an ambulance needed to get through to a back building and it took some creative driving for them to get through. Its just not something anyone should have to put up with for the rent folks pay here.
The pool is nice, occasionally on Sundays it isnt clean and its gross to swim in due to bugs but mostly its fine. The hot tub is nice and is like the pool- dirty on weekends. There are two grills for residents to use but on weekends you have to wait in line to use them. There have been times when they are out of gas and it takes several days for management to get them refilled. I also agree with a previous review that the garbage guys are terribly noisy when they come and it is often late at night before they get here. The gate in front has been broken for about 2 months now, but it never really kept anyone out in the first place.
The location is good- 20 minutes to downtown and close to shopping as well.
