I lived there with my mom and three sisters while I was finishing school in Oak Ridge High School, and it was the worst place ever.

I did not feel safe walking from my apartment to the bus stop which is right on a busy street with very poor lighting. There was always a freaky renter that lived by the bus stop and would always try to give the bus stop kids something or call them in to his porch. Not safe at all for kids.

The whole time I lived there the pool was a joke and did not work. The apartment was moldy, and the carpet nasty even before we moved in. Our first apartmant was so bad, managment couldn't even fix it, they had to move us to another apartment which was just as bad. The area is really bad as well, the only good thing is the Cypress park is within walking distance, my family and I always did that to take our minds off our nasty apartment.

The neighbors were loud and I'll just say we're hispanic, but we were certinly a minority there. The staff are very nasty and you would think they were Hindu kings and queens, they were just aweful people.

The only savior for me were the wonderful friends I met at Oak Ridge and the great teachers I had there, but that was 1999-2002, and I hear Oak Ridge is not has great as it use to be, especially since all the older teachers with more experience are gone or retired.

Anyway, please don't move in here, we couldn't leave for finacial reasons, but if you have the choice choose someplace else.
