For the amount of square footage you get, the price is reasonable, this is one of the bigger apartments in the Orlando area. I have seen alot of staff come and go over the years (when I first moved in it was Tina and Marcus, both we very nice, I miss Marcus, he was funny). Diana, Kristy, Nancy, Rosanna and there is another young lady but I can't think of her name right now, ALL are VERY professional, courteous and helpful. Yes, I have placed calls for things to be fixed, and no, sometimes it is not right away, however, in such a large apartment complex it is foolish for you to have an "I am the only one on the planet" concept. There was a problem with kids hanging around late at night for awhile, but that seems to have been nipped in the bud. I do miss having a security officer at the front, like the one we had in the evenings when the gates were being replaced. If people would use their card properly and 10 cars not try to go thru the gate on one entry card, then the gates would work just fine. I am grateful to the staff for helping our family when we have needed to move to different apartments for whatever personal situation we were going thru, and I have always received a call back to any question, issue or concern I have called about. The resident appreciation celebrations that are held quite often are a very nice gesture from the staff and management. I do however wish that the monthly breakfast (which by the way, when we first moved here, there were donuts and danish every Sat or Sun and the BIG breakfast was once a month, that had eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, waffles as well as donuts, danish, muffins and juice and coffee) the breakfast is nice now, I think the staff does it themselves, as this is why you need to get their quickly as ratio of food to resident is not always alot. However, if they (the staff) are doing it themselves, then people should be grateful to have anything at all. There are nights for a wine and cheese get together once a month, cookies every Wed for the kids after school, pot lucks here and there and other little happenings during the holidays. It is true that some of the maintenance staff do have a small language barrier (Bill was great and we miss him terribly) but language is an issue everywhere you go, so just do the best ou can, write it down on a piece of paper, speak more slowly and distinctly, whatever, these are people, did it ever occur to some of you that maybe they are having trouble understanding you and then to add an attitude on top of that just creates an even bigger frustration for both parties. Relax, Chill-out and know that the staff is there to HELP you in any way they can, you are not at The Ritz or Gaylord Palms and if you had the money you would be living in a mansion - ITS AN APARTMENT COMPLEX - NOT THE FOUR SEASONS or TRUMP TOWER - the sooner you get thru your pampered head that you have be reasonable and not demanding you'll get along just fine. Thank you to everyone at The Grand Reserve for all that you do!!!! Have a wonderful 2008!!! P, L, D and L

I agree. Been here about 12 years and watched a lot of staff come and go; some better than others, (as in any company), and overall quite satisfied usually. Currently, issues are security gate never seems to work, and maintenance is quite slow to respond to requests or to fix correctly, but overall nice people and a good place to be.
