Grove Apartments

My family has lived here for five years now and we cannot wait to find a better place and get out!!!! It was decent when we moved in and then the management changed. There was trash everywhere, music played at all hours and drinking and drug dealing was going on every single night. The pool turned black once and the excuse I got from the manager was "Corporate didn't give us money for chemicals to treat it." What??? Then management changed and changed once again. The current management is trying to fix up the place, but our apartment is a dump. In fact, last fall, the ceiling in my son's room completely caved in. When the property manager came to inspect it, he noticed that the rest of our ceilings throughout the apartment were about to fall. Were we offered a new "renovated" unit?? No. They sent maintenance to our apartment to put about a million nails in to hold the drywall up!!! Did I mention that it took them a week to fix the ceiling in my son's room and we had to live with the mess and dust that whole time?
I have to agree with the other ratings I read here too. Don't live here if you aren't Hispanic. The grounds are looking better, but they still need help. Dogs poop any and everywhere and my kids have stepped in stuff many times. I don't let my kids play outside or swim in the pool because there are still bad elements living here. As I said, there have been improvements. It's quieter, but only because about 1/3 of the units are empty. You should see the office/clubhouse! When that got fixed up, we thought more was coming for the people who actually pay to live here. No. Maybe it will get better, but I don't have much faith in it.If you can afford better, do it.
