Not great but pretty good

I don't know who these people are. Without airing any personal vendettas or getting irrational I will tell you about this complex.
-Parking is awesome, especially for living so close to UCF. I live near the front and there is an entire row that is never even used. I imagine tighter in the back as far as if you were to have half a dozen people over for a party, but in that case have them park in the front and walk back.
-I've never seen them spray for bugs, I don't know when they do it. But I can count the number of them I've seen in the apartment on one hand, so they must be doing it frequently. And I live on the first floor.
-Trash isn't so great. Each half of the complex has one compactor. I have found out that's not to uncommon. BUT the thing I hate is that the stairs are BEHIND the compactor and there isn't a light back there. So you have stumble around the puddles and gunk and hope you aren't stepping in something. To avoid this a lot of people throw their garbage up from the front or leave it on the ground, which makes the area even more disgusting. I've only seen them have a problem with overflow once this year though.
-Maintenance is good. Even for big problems. We had some rotting in our shower and they had to replace a whole peice of wall, yet it was still done in just a couple days. I'm not sure about the experiencs people have had.
-There's large grass areas for my dog to run around in (albeit on a leash, but if your dog is behaved no one will complain if it's not) they are quite pet friendly. We don't have to clean up after it. That's good for me, may be bad for non-pet owners I suppose. Don't walk over the grass unless you're keeping your eyes open.
-Apparently there's not a water filter to the ice maker' Our ice began to taste like onions and when we called to get the filter changed they said there is none. The maintenance man came anyway, and left a note that we should use baking soda. We already had a box in there, and there is NO smell whatsoever. It's not us. That's my only maintenance complaint really.
-I've never had noise problems. Well until this new guy moved above us and I swear he must be addicted to ddr. It sounds like he's jumping constantly. I really wouldn't blame the floor/celing though because the previous tenant was a pretty big guy and we almost NEVER heard them.
-Staff is blah, but please someone direct me to a apartment complex where this isn't true. I avoid them and they return the favor.
They're good for the price and area. People just like to complain. We looked EVERYWHERE for a better deal and are thinking we will probably just be best staying here.
