The people in the front office 'wow' you with a pretty office and model apartment. They assure you that the grounds will be maintained, lighting is maintained, your appliances etc. in your apartment will be maintained....all horribly misrepresented. The trash is disgracefully overflowing 95% of the time. The trash in the retention ponds is at an unhealthy level. The trash surrounding my actual apartment building is deplorable. Trash(entire screens from windows, large & small appliances, old building materials like nails, metal, glass,termite infested lumber and fiberglass insulation)will sit for weeks on end. When you ask that it be cleaned up they'll say it'll get done, but 2 months later...still on the ground. But if you leave a sack of trash on your stoop for any length of time you'll be tagged & fined $25.00. I've had friends visiting only to get a nail in their car tire. The lighting in the stairwells/common areas is non-existant. We have had NO working outdoor lighting for 5 weeks but they refuse to take care of it. They're painting/renovating so the outside 'appears' nice and enticing but the place is a fraud. They don't care about your safety or your comfort. We've had 3 burglaries and 1 rape since I've lived here but they refuse to warn anyone about safety or to even put working locks on our sliders/sliding bedroom windows. They wouldn't even replace a lock on a person's door after they had been broken into and the thief took the house keys! The management won't do anything about preventing door-to-door solicitation. Solicitors frequent this place; atleast once weekly. So we have strangers who can 'case the place' on regular basis and they can see how lax everything is around here and then they can break in or steal from the parking lot. The noise level is rediculous. It sounds like I have a heard of elephants upstairs the noise is so loud, and there's a terrible moaning noise when they use their hot water and their washing machine vibrates my apartment and when they close their interior doors it can wake you up it's so loud. They do nothing about this. People are allowed to leave their dogs off leashes, even when you report that a dog has run up and jumped at you. They don't care. Pet owneres aren't made responsible for cleaning up their pets poop either. It's so nasty. Their on-call maintainance is a joke. I've had to have my family go stay at a hotel because water's been off or fridg was out over a holiday(yes even Christmas day) and they can't/won't get any one over to take care of it. They have 101 excuses from the office. No one is ever responsible for anything, the fault is always passed on to someone else. I am approaching the end of my lease and it would cost more than $200 more dollars to live here but there would be NO improvements for my apartment. I won't be renewing. The most recent property manager is unkind, unhelpful and just plain doesn't care. She will not allow you to finish a sentance and before you're finished talking about the problem you have in your apartment, it's all about her. She wants to be treated a certain way but she raises her voice, does not keep eye contact and is very dismissive, like walking away from you while you're still trying to talk. I would not under any circumstances recommend this place to anyone. And parents out there, do not move your college kids into this complex if you want them to be safe.
