what can i say i moved in in May and well it is better than where i used to live. personally i have an opinion about the apartment complex i believe that one side is actually nicer and safer than the other. i believe the side with the lake has less problems over all. as far as maintenance goes my roommates and i are probably about the most annoying tenants in I.C. lol we call about everything but it is always fixed w/ in a week or 2 which personally i don't think is terrible. some times they come the same day others they don't generally it is my experience that if you ask the Hispanic Carmen about something you get an answer or problem fixed faster than w/ most of the other staff. (the white Carmen seems to have stick up her ass though lol)
yes it is true you can hear the people up stairs when they are just walking. recently a section of the ceiling in the breezeway fell out from a leak after the tropical storm Fay, they cleaned up the mess but haven't fixed the calling yet. trying to think of all the negatives now-
there was a shooting which scared me when it happened but it happened on the other side of the complex and it's Orlando i realized when i started looking for somewhere else to move so i'm still here.
the -------- across the hall play their music loud sometimes but we haven't complained.
there was a family that smoked pot across from us but they got evicted.
one of the a/c units makes a lot of noise at night it has been 4 days so far we called 2 days ago we'll see what happens.
Only 2 dumpsters for the whole complex, thinking about starting a trash pick-up business could make some serious money lol jk.
the gates are useless they work but people just wait until someone comes in and piggybacks off them- bugs me a lot but the same thing happens when i go to visit my dad in his really up scale gated town home community
I'll add some more cons when i think of them
Pros-
grass and shrubs are well kept
maintenance always comes w/ in a week or 2
free exterminators can come every friday (if you call every week like we do)
i like watching the ducks and the turtles in the lake
interior decent
good sized rooms
clean pools
decent amount of equipment in the gym although one or 2 things are broken
fairly adequate parking
directly across the street from Valencia Community College
fair rent
what else can i say i'm happy with it, if you are ok with average then you'll be fine here. even my hoity toyti French roommate isn't to fed up w/ the complex yet. lol.
and with any apartment the best place to live is the second floor with an apartment located away from the street.

EDIT- they came and fixed the A/C unit today. which is the day after i origianlly wrote the review so 3 days after we called. not bad if you ask me
