I moved into my apartment in August. The apartment I received that day was not at all like the one I was shown before I signed the lease. The apartment was very dirty and many things in the apartment were broken. It was obvious that no one even looked over the apartment before I was given the keys/started paying rent. When I moved in, I was assured that all of the broken items would be fixed within a week.

It has taken over three months for anyone to attempt to come out and fix anything. These are all things that should have been fixed before I moved in. Two maintenance workers finally came earlier in the week (3 months after they should have fixed everything)- BUT they just looked at the damage and didn't even try to fix anything. We have been told by the office staff (an average of at least once a week) that they "are going to fix everything" very soon (we have even been given dates when this work should be done by- all of which have long since passed). The staff/management of Vintage on the Green does not have high quality standards- if they did, they would have never allowed these problems to continue.

I have informed management of my intent to leave once my lease is up. Not dissimilar to their attitude towards the poor condition of my apartment, management does not seem at all concerned about my leaving the complex. I believe they have realized a sad truth- Even if I leave, there will always be someone else they can convince to sign a lease. By the time this person realizes that they have made a mistake, it will be too late. My goal in writing this is to possibly prevent another person from making the mistake I have made in choosing to reside here.
