A pretty good place

I've lived in two apartments at Vintage on the Green. While I agree with the previous commenter that construction got sprung on residents with little warning, the management did allow us to move to an apartment that was not going to be worked on for some time. On one hand, we had to move. On the other, the apartment was more convenient and we don't have holes in the walls. It was a wash.
The grounds are nice and, in my buildings at least, the neighbors are quiet. I haven't noticed any crime or graffiti around and there aren't any bug problems. I've had no problems with the construction of the apartment, or with things breaking. Parking is widely available and finding a spot near my apartment is almost never an issue. The mailboxes are lit and safe. The security gates work nearly all the time and there is a security guard at the entrance who always seems to be on duty (though they do let just about anyone in.)
Small gripes: The office hours make it difficult to retrieve packages. They seem to waffle back and forth between going condo and not. The rent -is- a little high, but not badly so. There are an awful lot of racoons around, but there's not much to be done about that.
All in all, assuming you can afford it I would recommend VotG to anyone looking for an apartment. The loft apartments, in particular, are very nice.
