Best apartment of my college experience

I've lived in several different housing units since my inception at UCF, which include an on-campus dorm, Pegasus Connection, Victoria Place, and now Knightsbridge at Stoneybrook. And I can honestly say, Knightsbridge is the best living experience I've had. I've been here since April of 2008 and cannot speak highly enough about this place. The apartment itself is nicely laid out, the big windows allow a lot of natural light, and the unit feels cozy...more like a home than an apartment. It also helps that they look like condos, rather than the typical apartment setting with long hallways and outdoor staircases. I haven't experienced any real noise issues from my neighbors and parking is rarely, if ever, a problem. I believe I've called maintenance twice in the year that I've been here and each time they were quickly responsive and resolved the issue. One maintenance staffer actually helped me install a new lock which goes beyond the scope of what he's required to help with. The office staff at Knightsbridge is always polite and willing to help with a problem which is a stark 180 degree contrast between my experiences with office staff members at other locations, who couldn't be bothered to help with anything... (cough cough, Victoria Place).
I also want to make note of the safety aspect at Knightsbridge. I'm a female college student, living alone, so safety is a huge priority for me...especially after my experience at Victoria Place, in which 2 men attempted to rob me in the parking lot. That incident was the driving force which inspired me to relocate. Knightsbridge is somewhat off the beaten path... it is in a secluded section of Stoneybrook and gaining entrance to the apartments requires a person to go through 2 gates, one of which is guarded 24 hours a day. Once inside, the atmosphere is much different than that of any other apartment complex I've resided in because people are willing to leave some of their personal possessions outside. I see bikes and toys and whatnot left in the yards of residents, unattended, which at first seemed extremely unusual to me because I'm so used to seeing people guard their homes and belongings with their lives. But there are a lot of families and children in here and common theft does not seem to be a problem. I've also never heard of any break ins or car thefts taking place here, at least since I've been a resident. When I walk from my car to my apartment after dark, I feel safe and can get from my car to my door and inside my apartment without incident. That, to me, is worth every cent of the rent.
So yea, I love this place, I just renewed my lease for another year, I'm not affiliated with the office staff in any way. I'm sure cynical people will hack this review apart but I wrote it honestly and think it's important for people to know that there are nice places to live in East Orlando around UCF, and for me, Knightsbridge at Stoneybrook is by far the best.

ok first of all no college student would use the phrase "inception into UCF" generally we say acceptance. Secondly Victoria Place does not accept co-signors so unles this "college student" make $4000 a month they could not have lived there and they would have known that victoria place also has a gate. Now anyone who actually lives here like my self, who is also a female college student, would know that the walls are so paper thin that you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the unit next to you whether they realize it or not. Now the office staff can be nice and there is parking, but if you like to hear your neighbors talking on the phone and having sex please be my guest and fall for this and move in. My lease is up soon and I am so out of here. Like I said move in if you want...but if you are looking for a quiet place you dont want to be here. PERIOD. OFFICE STAFF STOP POSTING THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A TOOL TO HELP PEOPLE NOT TO LIE TO THEM.

I agree w/loveforfranz, I like Knightsbridge at Stoneybrook. Its nice here. My neighbors are cool. The rent isn't too bad either. Cheaper than a lot of other palces.

You're right, I was roaming around on here. Perhaps my response was a bit defensive because I was accused by this anonymous character of #1 not being a student and #2 of never having lived at Victoria Place, which is false on both counts. My intent was to write a positive review for a place that I like and instead, I was attacked based initially on my choice of words. I would prefer if this site didn't email me every time someone posts a reply to this review but I guess there isn't a way around that. In regards to the thin walls...it's an apartment complex, what do u expect? I've never lived anywhere with concrete walls except my freshman year dorm. If you want thick walls, I think your primary choices are a dorm or a jail cell...lol. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and can dislike Knightsbridge all they want but I think the thin walls/noise complaint is a cheap shot because that is the same at virtually every apartment complex. If it was possible to find a place with sound-proof walls or even "thicker" walls, everyone would live there. So yea, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I can respect conflicting ones, but I think these opinions should be expressed constructively. And as I said, if my reply seemed rude it was because I was on the defensive. I also think I've devoted far too much time to this review and these replies, so I'll bow out now.

oh, sorry Honestrenter87, I was only calling the first replier "borderline retarded" because of her poor grasp on the English language and subpar intuition regarding loveforfranz's employment status with Knightsbridge (since she does NOT work for them). Her opinion regarding the wall is all her own and not my place to judge; however, you are not going to find any apartment complexes around this town that have any better sound buffering, that is just the way it is. If you want to completely drown out neighbor noise, buy a house.

wow this is wild lol I live in knightsbridge as well as I have to say that the walls are really really thin and I can hear everything that goes on as well....so I dont think that it is right to say that the first anonymous replier is borderline retarded I dont think that it is fair for anyone on this site to attack any one...just talk about your experiences and get on with life. to loveforfranz you obviously are roaming around apartment ratings too. the location is nice, parking is good, im paying more than I would expect for the quality but its all i could bc I needed to find a place fast.

Ok listen up people.. iv been checking out these reviews for virtually every single apartment complex by UCF and some in winter park i have driven two 6 or 7 and by far!... for a single person to live.. by far! knightsbridge at Stoneybrook is the safest.. the most affordable because other places either require you to pay renters insurance along with your rent of $660! or other stupid fees and the apartments are really nice for the price so with that being said.. because this is the type of review i would be praying for since the reviews except for this girls review were all useless and a bunch of whiners that whine about stupid lil things.. i live in a condo in tampa where i had cement walls and cement ceiling and guess what? you still hear a lil bit of noise from the upstairs.. why? because its an apartment people.. find a house if u dont want any upstairs or next door noise. So in conclusion if you want great value and safety and want to be in a nice rich looking area where everything is close by.. check this place out in my opinion and driving and researching countless hours this is the place to be. i just found a job out here and im going to be happy to call this place home.. o and another thing i found out the main pool is 24 hours! and the second closes at 10pm but damn vs other places they close at like 6pm? wtf but im done here. take care hope i helped u with my opinion and research.

mogm777 - posting the same reply in multiple places isn't helpful to those reading reviews. Thanks though for the obvious effort. I have to wonder if you work here..why else would someone post the exact same thing??? Suspicious.
