I have lived here now for about 2 years. I have not always been happy but it was a place to call home. They had a change in management and I was prepared for another bumpy ride. I have to say that the new manager has been here since July and I could not be more pleased. Everyday you walk outside you see a positive change. I think they must have a full staff because the problems from before like lights being out and breezeways being dirty are completely gone. She is a very pleasant person to talk to and even on her busiest days she makes time to talk to me. The ladies working in the office are also wonderful and pleasant and they seem to really care about where they work.

I would say to anyone that had previously made negative comments, maybe you should re-evaluate the situation and make comments about the positive changes.

Okay...glad you asked to re-comment. I would first like to agree with you regarding the management and how nice the people in the office are, and how some things have changed for the better since Rock Management took over, however, there are still outstanding issues that should have been resolved even in the 4 months that the new manager has been there: 1. Gate is still a problem, hasn't been fixed since my last comment (8/23). As a matter of fact, it seems that in addition to the incoming gate the outgoing gate has been broken for about a month now as both gates have remained wide open for about a month now. If it has become so much of a hassle (monetarily or otherwise), just remove the gates, but don't give people the false impression that you are a gated community! 2. Breezeways in my building have not remained clean...the trails of dripping trash bags from the valet trash service is evidence of that! Also, the bugs (mostly spiders and beetles) are still a problem. You think they could have pest control spray them at least once a quarter? I, myself, have asked this to be done twice since August 2007, and still, only the ones that remain dead are the ones I spray around my door(s), the rest are still alive and kicking!!! 3. I still have to run my A/C constantly to keep up with the amount of moisture the building holds in (can also be attributed to the poor insulation around the entry door and balcony). According to former and current management, this is not a fixable problem as all-concrete structures do not breathe very well. 4. Landscaping (sans what is around the pool / clubhouse) has continued to worsen. Look around as you walk around the community! Grass has been left to die in front of a number of buildings, every 4th palm tree is dead, flowering plants have been ripped out and not replaced (eg. azaleas). The community is no longer a sight for sore eyes, but an eye sore! 5. Radon gas fans are still pointless on the upper floors and can not be controlled by a light switch. Why is it that these fans have to run 12 hours a day without my say-so, while adding to my electric bill, is beyond me (goes back to the humidity issue I mentioned before). ================================= I know times are tough in the real estate market in Orlando (including apartment rentals), but all I have personally experienced is a community that does not care to retain what current customers they have (several complaints focus on how bad the move out process is and how it becomes a fight to depart without paying extra fees). It's unfortunate that the one thing that makes me happy about this place (the low occupancy rate = little noise) is the that keeps me here. I just hope that my move out process is better than the others reviewers!
