Not too long ago, there have been some fire concerns. In one apartment, the resident fell asleep while they were cooking. In front of another, a careless person dropped a cigarette on a tree (near one of the buildings) which caught on fire. Also, the water goes out more frequently than I d like to see happen; Something to do with the city water maine. Both issues aren t directly under the control of the apartment management but are things I ve experienced living in this development. Another more common issue are problems with the pool and whirl pool. Sometimes the pumps go out or there s no fuel to heat the whirl pool. The whirl pool has been essentially useless over the last couple of weeks, for example; There s no jet action or heat. And there s still crime happening in Metro West, though thankfully not as often. Perhaps these are some other reasons (aside from some still valid reasons pointed out by others below) for Marina Landing to still have a number of vacancies. I know the leasing office has been trying to make some special offers to entice people to stay. The best enticement would be to lower the montly rent it is too high.
