Has its ups and downs

We lived in Mission Bay for 1 year and had some good and bad experiences. One of the best things about living in Mission Bay was the location - the complex itself is close to everywhere we needed to be. We also lived in one of the buildings closest to the rental office, pool, and volleyball court, so parking was plentiful, although the same definitely can not be said about parking elsewhere. At first, the office staff was really great, but then they all quit. Some of the office personnel had attitudes with the residents, but some genuinely tried to make everyone happy. We had to make some changes to our lease, and once the changes were made, we were not issued a new copy of the lease, so *technically* we did not have a lease! The response from the maintenance staff was pretty bad.. we came back from vacation to find one of the faucets leaking profusely, and it took 3 days (!) to have it fixed, while in the meantime, it was costing us money. Our front door was also warped and did not have the proper sealing mechanism, so bugs were always coming in and air was always going out. This took five requests to get fixed the right way. The heater did not work either. In our utilities, we paid for pest control every month, but never received the service we paid for (and it was evident!). We also paid for trash service, but the dumpster was ALWAYS full, so taking out the trash was a huge headache. The complex is very noisy, also, with car engines revving and brakes squealing as people speed down the street and hearing people going up and down the stairs and walking around in the upstairs apartments. Mission Bay was decent for all its worth..
