Ok, so you have read the last few reviews which have been extremely positive about this community. All I can say about the recent reviews of this place is that they make me want to toss my cookies. Do not belive the lies that these reviews speak of, because obviously they have been written by the office staff. I used to live in this community and I can acutally say that this place is a dump. Let me first state that Mission Bay is nothing but a college dormatory. I only saw a handful of families in there but mainly it is students from Full Sail, UCF, and Valencia. Forget about ever having a moment of piece as everynight you will be surrounded by neighbors, cars, and nightclubs playing their music so loud there is not one place in your apartment you can't escape the noise. As for feeling safe, every night when I walked around or took my dogs for a walk I did not feel safe at all. Everyone hangs out and parties at night especially on the weekend so expect to see drunk people walking around and driving. No one picks up after their pets, but that is something you will find in every complex. As for the apartments they are falling apart and are in need of repair. First, the washer and dryer are so small all you can fit in there is one pair of jeans. Second the dryer I had was so full of lint it took over 3 hours to dry one load of laundry which made my power bill VERY expensive. I told the office about this over and over again and they just ignored me. The maintence men are as rude as you can get and don't care about what problems you have. If you ask for something to be fixed, do not be surprised if it never gets fixed or they tell you that it is supposed to take 3 hours to dry. Also, my apartment had mold in it, but once again the office just turned a deaf ear. The mold was starting to make me sick. I had gotten one of those self test kits that you send it for a lab analysis. Well, come to find I had 3 types of mold in my apartment which I showed to the office. They told me oh that's bad and we will send someone out to get rid of it. Guess what' No one came and the office didn't care. Also, my apartment had this horrible cigarette smoke smell and the carpet was always damp. I had the carpet cleaned 3 times and it still stunk. After I moved I had to wash every thing I had because of the smell. On the weekends the dumpster gets so full that garbage spills into the street. It literally looks like a mountain of garbage and some of the bags are open and trash is everywhere. One more item to discuss is how much this place waters their grass. Every morning the water would run for an hour and a half. There was about a half inch to an inch of water around my apartment all the time. My shoes were always soaked and my dogs were a mess. I would drag in so much dirt and grass I had to vacuum every day. Plus, I ended up ruining a pair of my shoes because of the water problem. If you are in the UCF area looking for apartments keep moving on and pass this place up. You will be saving yourself lots of headaches.
