ok heres the dealio...I have lived here less than 2 months.. in this time My car has been broken into 2 times! First time nothing was taken, a week later they came back.. slashed out the back window on my Wrangler.. ripped off the dash to get to the stereo, ripped out the stereo, everything was everywhere in my car.. the quote was $1,075 to get it fixed.. thank god for insurence even though they are giving me back the stock radio when they took a $400 stereo i had and a window from a junk yard.. so its going to be shittier than the NEW window i had on it.. I also have 2 friends who live in the complex and BOTH of their cars were broken in about 2 weeks ago, one has a convertable and the top was slashed open, other window was smashed in 4 days ago.. a mustang was in front of the office ALL 4 tires were slashed.. theres a U-Haul in front of the office right now.. last night graffiti was done ALL over the side and back (and im sure who rented it has to pay to have it cleaned) They say they have security but we called about it and their job is to lock the pool and go.. thats it.. the reason im paying $870/month for a 1/1 is because the place looked awesome.. and was told very safe.. oh and if you live here.. deposit for electric is $400 and being a college kid thats a bit hard to afford. Parking kinda blows, like a previous person stated if you dont have a garage its almost impossible to find parking unless you park in guest parking.. which is ONLY located in front of the office (which is also where most the car break-ins happen. My neighbor has had someone try to break in her side window on the first floor, while she was home.. I have taken the liberty to hook up a security camera pointing down my stairs that runs 24/7 on my computer and is motion censored.. and got a chain lock on the door.. sad i have to do that to my apartment. Living here will cost you a fortune to get your stuff fixed from breakins!! And the office doesnt really car.. when i went to the office as soon as i saw my car was broken into.. I went to one of the ladies up there and said "yeah my car was just broken into can you guys notify the police and have them come down'(i did this so they had record of my break in and not just the police hoping they might do something to step up security)Her reponse was just.. "ok, is that all" WTF

I have made a few suggestions to the office people on how to step up security..
1. Get cameras --- I told them its a one time fee and everyone is protected. They said they couldn't cause legal reasons .. blah blah I asked a cop and she said it was fine as long as they aren't pointing in anyones windows and stuff. but the office doesn't care..
2. Make it a gated community --- Its not hard.. there are walls all over the place they just need to add a gate at the front and back entrance.. but no.. they said they couldn't for reasons if there a fire they need the gate to stay open so firetruck can get in.. ok give them a code and change the time limit on that code to stay open for 15 minutes... NOT HARD..
3. Have an officer patrol --- they said they are discussing with them.. i doubt it will happen though. break-ins are getting worse and worse by the day.

phew.. ok that felt good to get off my chest.. so take in SERIOUS conciteration if you want to live here or not.. and if you do.. get a garage!! i ended up doing that.. and those are EXPENSIVE too they just went up in the last month to $125/month

Oh and landscaping.. yeah.. grass is DEAD where i live.. its sand and little areas of grass here and there..
