I am a new resident here at Northlake Park and have really enjoyed my place thus far. Edna is the rental agent that helped me find my new apartment and set up the move-in, while Leslie (sp') was the one who actually went through all of the paperwork with me on move-in day. I did all of the initial paperwork online and chose my unit 'sight unseen' as I relocated for work. The community is a little far from the hub of Orlando, but I don't mind too much because I travel a lot for work and am no more than 5 minutes from the airport. The only thing that I have to say negatively at this stage is some of the units (including mine) face into a courtyard of sorts where the majority of the air conditioners are also located. On a hot summer day there is a noticeable hum audible from anywhere in my apartment. The other 'not so great' thing is that the master bathroom doesn't have the best ventilation and therefore if not left to 'air dry' after a long shower there will clearly me a mold issue. I think this is a problem in many places, not exclusive to this community however, as many of the communities are designed by people who clearly don't understand the uniqueness of living in a highly humid climate such as Florida.
Overall, everything has been good - nice people, nice neighbors, lovely surroundings, functional and clean clubhouse, etc. Publix, 7-11, Bank of America, Quiznos, et all are just down the street about a mile-ish which is nice. The downside is if you're into organic products such as me, the nearest Whole Foods is/will be off Sand Lake - about a 20-25 minute drive each way.
