These apartments are very inexpensive when compared to other apartments up the road. They are pre-manufactured, so the floors are hollow and you ted to "thump-thump" around. Its not fancy at all, no pool, no clubhouse, just a damp-smelling laundry room. We lived there for 7 months in 2008 in a 1bdrm, and we loved it. The neighborhood is quiet at night, I always felt safe coming in from work late, and the neighbors are friendly. It has a nice little patio for BBQs and cookouts, and the rooms are pretty spacious. Our energy bills were extremely low during the spring months because we had the HUGE windows open all the time with a box fan blowing cool air in (esp. at night), and only went up in the summer because of the ac (no central ac, only has an under-window unit, but it does the job) It does have its downs though....

When we went to look at the apartment we planned on renting for the first time, there were imprints in the rug from where the last tenant had his furniture. We asked if the apartment was cleaned out between tenants, and the manager assured us it was. Well, the day we picked up our keys and stepped in, the imprints were still there. So if you are going to rent here, I recommend doing a deep clean before putting furniture in.

A few months into our rental, and our neighbor got the rims off her car stolen. So, there must be crime in the area, but its not like there are shady looking guys hanging around at night.

Lastly, no pets at all. I offered a deposit to have one, and they turned me down. I know a few senior residents have a couple cats, but apparently that's because they have been living in the apartments since before they adopted their no-pets rule.

Overall, if you are just looking for a simple and cozy home that affordable, then I really recommend this place. It's not luxurious at all, but home is home :)
