Pegasus Landing has been my new home now since August. Im a freshman at UCF who missed ou ton on-campus housing. However now after having been here for 3 months Im sooo happy with my choice to reside off campus at Pegasus Landing rahter than on.
I came into Pegasus Landing frantic worried about where I was going to stay when I realized I missed the on campus deadline. Their leasing staff was great. They were all about my age and gave me tips not only about hosuing but about classes and things to do in the area as well. They answered all of my questions with no hesitation and much confidence. To do this day I havent had a problem with anything minus one toilet mishap that maintenance came out to take care of the next day.
When I read these reviews I am appauled at what people are saying about this community that I now call home. I keep reading people saying stuff about security and being mislead about gates and what not. If you read whats in the office it does say that seciruty offices and gates are in the process of being installed not that they are currently there. I did ask them in September when they were going to be completeld and was told there were some issues with getting permits approved and of course took longer than the staff expected but that the new gates and surveilance cameras were surely on their way. I now see the gates going up in the back entrance of phase 3 as well as at the front entrance of phase 3 so I do not yet feel as though I have been mislead.
I also read people writing about their roomates and noise. You filled out the roomate matching and Im sure you placed with people that matched your form. While I did end up loving all of my roomies Im sure there will be the occassional headbutts but there are over ... 2000' residents here its hard to make everyone happy.
My sister is now a graduate who lived at Pegasus for 3 years and never had a problem with burglarly or heard of any murders or shootings. You people are crazy who freak out over crime and break ins. Do you not know you live in Orlando one of the highest cities in Florida in crime itself. Of course there are going to be occassional car break in or vandelism .... it happens everywhere.
relax and enjoy your new place and everything this place has to offer.
