My daughter moved here for college. I did not research these apartments before she moved her. One of her friends told us how nice and affordable they were so i took steps in getting her started. But as a parent I didn't do much research as i shoulded done, it was bad on my part. First, i set up to do a walk through at that time the apartment was clean and nice. Next my daughter was interested in moving here. ok then i started calling the apartment several times to get more information about the lease and the paper work. Next she moved in on August 25th, walk through this time it not the same apartment inside. The front door looks like someone kick in and made a dent. and the print was peeled off the door, inside her closet door was off track the carpet looked dirty, and ordor smell in the apartment. so when i noticed these problems she called and reported them, she waited for someone to fix the problem for about two weeks then i told her to call back to report the problem, and she told me they never got the report. I actually made the call about the closet door when i was there. so it took them at less about three weeks to fix the problem. Finally, the rent it is affordable but I was told by one of the represative if i have financial aide that she can skip two months off her lease. so i am thinking i can skip September and October until her financial aide kickin in Setember 19th. when i paid the first month rent which was the end of August I didn't know i had to pay Septmber 1st. so, i called and one of the representive stated i can get two month waive if she is on financial aid and attends UCF. My daughter attends a community college and was not told she had to be a UCF student to get two months waive. It was just miscommunication all around. I am on a budget thinking am going to get September payment waive sense i was told i can have two months waived until my financial aide come in. So i called September 1st to let them know i will not have the rent payment until September 19th until she receive her financial aid. I am aware of the late fees after the 4th. The representive stated there will be a late fee after the 4th day. which i was ok with. September 12th i followed up with the apartment accounting office to let them know i am still waiting on the check. I was told at that time my file was sent to the attorney office for eviction. I was thinking how can they do this if i am just twelve days late. I can see thirty days late. I had to pay an extra $400.00 for attorney fees that i was not happy ask to speak with a Manager they did not return my call until two days later. I finally got the check September 19th and paid the rent up for 6months She will not live her after her lease is up in August. I have never experience this in my life. PARENT PLEASE READ THE LEASE AGREEMENT AND GET MORE INFORMATION ON APARTMENT BEFORE YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER MOVE IN... I AM SORRY I DID'NT

Get your child out of the murder, drug dealing, mugging apartment complex as soon as possible. If they take you to court over breaking the lease, use postings in this site to point out the safety issue. I think she will probably be safe for the six months which you already paid, but then move her.
