If anyone has been paying attention to the news, we just had an armed invasion last night where someone broke into a drug dealer that lives heres apartment at gunpoint. That's exactly what I like to think is going on outside while I'm sleeping. We supposedly live in a "gated complex", and yes we have gates, they've just been open for the past month, 24/7. They make you pay 10 or 50 dollars for a gate card or remote that you never seem to use since the gates are never closed. I'm planning on moving out as soon as my lease is up. I'm sure the fact that our gates are always wide open doesn't help keep away crimes and home invasions but I doubt anyone who works here cares. Hopefully I will be able to find an apartment where I don't have to wake up and check if any of my windows are broken, again, before I leave for the day.
