There must be more to your anger than the check issue, I received a letter from the supervisor today which explained a very concerned organization who has hired their own investigator to try and solve the issue. I have been a resident since 1997 and have watched these employees bust their --- during the hurricanes only to be attacked in the middle of the lobby by residents who had no one else to blame. Now the check issue...I can understand how this could happen and although I have not experienced this fraud situation I took the letter to my bank and they switched my account to a new one without charge or hesitation. When I asked the office about the situation they explained that they have been in touch with Orange County economic division since the end of February and were told over and over again that they were not to feel that the situation was isolated to River Park alone. I first heard about it on the news and the media has'nt changed have they' They did not inform the viewers that every resident was reimbursed by their banking establishments and that there actually was someone from Orange County handling the incident. My hats off to RP for taking matters in thier own hands and trying to resolve the issue. What goes around comes back around and the finger pointers will eventually get whats coming to them for attacking people who just want to do their job...information is extracted illegally everyday from copier.computer and misc hard drives.

BS... This check fraud has been going on since February, and you just recieved a letter from River Park now??? People have experienced multiple check frauds while living at River Park.. RP Management doesnt care about you.. The only reason you received a letter was because it was on the news and multiple people reported to authorities.. Why didn't the letters go out to residents back when they were first made aware of it - by multiple residents - in February? Why wait until now, when the incident hit the media, to act concerned? Yes, to "act" concerned.

Actually if you speak to Orange County River Park was supposed to let the investigators do their job and stay out of it. River Park was able to release the information once it was announced to the public.

I was also a victim of the check fraud and my attorney told me that RP was REQUIRED to send residents the letter. Also, if they cared about their residents, they would have offered a one year id theft protection service, which he was shocked that they didn't. This was one of the biggest hells that I faced while living here and RP was extremely UNhelpful and couldn't care less about me. They had a "we're out of it" and "our hands are washed of this" and "we won't say anything" attitude about it. I had to practically beg them for the information to report this to the police investigator.
