I have really enjoyed living here so far (aug 2007- present).
Things I like: especially in comparison to other places I've lived!:
They actually have grounds cleanup so the outside always looks clean and landscaped, hardly any trash.
I love having the park right behind us.
I feel pretty safe, but still always use common sense.
Garbage system works fine. (one big dumpster in the front). They don't let the dumpster look gross.
We are getting new doors with fancier locks.
They actually give proper notice when they are doing maintenance or for complex updates.
The front pool is nice, not sure about the back one, bc I always go to the front.
The gym is pretty nice, has what you need. Clean and has a nice TV.
Apartment itself has been just what I need as a student, enough space, kitchen could be bigger, but otherwise I have been very happy with carpet, appliances, electricity.

Things to consider:
I did hear about check fraud, so I just do money orders just in case.
Parking could be better, but they don't tow as I've seen so far.
Noise isn't bad, I think I have pretty good neighbors.
There is construction going on, the end result looks very nice. They have put in new better insulated windows. And the construction isn't so bad, gets loud if they are on your building of course. But I lived in Heather Glen last year, and let me tell you, the construction crew and planning at River Park is so much more professional, courteous, neat, and responsible than Heather Glen's. It caused me so many problems there, that I don't mind this construction at all here in comparison!
I haven't had to deal with the office much, which I consider a good thing because that means there are few problems. I hear they aren't always helpful, but I haven't had any bad experiences so far.

They DO tow, and you won't have any warning. If you have friends over, make sure they park in guest or by the office in the front. We, as residents, even got our new car towed because we forgot to move our decal from the old car to the new one!

Just wait, sweetheart. You're still new. They'll start nickel and diming you as soon as they get a chance. Wait until you DO have an issue to bring to the leasing office's attention. They are so incompetent.
