I am a bit nervous about writing this. I have been here for five months, and I've had a great time. After reading the negative reviews, I am fearful that the bad news will come flooding in after I post this. Oh well.
As I said, I've had a great time since day one. I guess I got lucky. The only real noise problem I've ever had was when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. The fire department wasn't allowed to turn it off, so I had to find the maintainace person that lives on the grounds. Fortunately, he was home. Other than that, everything has been good. The few repairs that I've needed from time to time were performed the day after the request. It is hard to get a hold of someone in the office BY PHONE, so I just walk to the office instead. The staff has been nice and attentive to me.
My neighbors are very quiet. I didn't even know one of them had a dog until the fire alarm incident. The exterior air conditioning devices make more noise than my neighbors. I have seen folks that might do drugs or alcohol, but they don't live in my particular building. Every once and a while, I will hear a car speeding off or playing loud music. Again, these folks don't live in my building.
When I moved in, my family and I went through the appartment with a fine tooth comb. Only minor flaws to be found. (chips here, cracks there) The place was clean. The carpets were clean. No insect problems. An exterminator is available every Thursday. Parking can get a little crowded at night, but I didn't have to park very far away from my ususal area on those occasions.
7-11, Walgreens, and Wendy's Restaurant are within walking distance. Walmart and Downtown Disney is five minutes away (in opposite directions). Interstate-4 is nearby, connecting you to rest of Florida state. I've read the complains about traffic. If you don't like traffic, don't leave near one of the grandest tourist attractions on the planet - Disney World. The traffic is only bad during the morning and evening rush anyway.
There are cheaper apartments in the area. Unless I am suddenly plagued with bad news, I plan to stay here for a while. The location to shopping is excellent. I have had no troubles with staff or repairs. My spot is quiet. I guess I lucked out.
