Some of the comments on here scared the crap out of me when I looked at them (2 months ago). But, I visited the community and was impressed... so I moved in (01/15/2007). Of course, the apartment has some issues (i.e. missing light build and other small issues) but the staff has a 48 hours guarentee and since I had moved it that day, the office staff had someone over there within 30 minutes of my call.

So far, thay have been nothing but sweet to me and I even had a toilet issue yesterday (on a Sunday), (minor, the handle would stick) and that was fixed within a 24 hours period.

I just left the UCF area and I'd rather be here near "Crime Hills" as they call it... then to be over there with those immature weirdos. I know the crime thing scares everyone but from what I see at Sabal Palms... I see security cameras, security walking in the community, and plus I even have an alarm in my apartment. I feel safe and I don't see my safety being an issue here.

Granted, I've only been here a month but I've had no issues. If I do, I'll update... thanks for reading & good luck with your searches!

P.S: Deposit is huge because I have bad credit and had to pay a month's rent plus $400 for my 2 doggies. Don't freak...haha

I'm glad everything is going so well for you, but you've only been there for a couple of months. Wait until that sixth month and we'll see how well they treat you.

The security cameras don't work and they don't monitor them. If you have basic cable with no box you can turn to channel 48 and see the cameras which are all blurred out.

I believe there may be a difference between Sabal Palms 1 and 11. I believe 11 is better. I presently live in 1 and have found all the negative comments to be true. The word ghetto does definitely apply although the amount of the rent does not indicate it.

Update: Been here for a year and 6 months... still no security or bug problems. The office staff are complete idiots but no immediate problems yet! I like my building, I like my neighbors... all is well, one year strong!
