If I had a dollar for everytime I made a complaint

The staff here is getting much better. I can see the signs in the distance... crime in Metorwest is going down (the police opened a station), the neighbors (that are always BBQing in the main entrance are gone, thank god), I see the staff outside more often, the neighbors are becoming friendlier and it feels like I can walk outside to the mailbox at night without being in fear. My apartment wasn't perfect when I moved here but it wasn't horrible or uncomfortable to live in by any means. I, like you are doing, read all the posting even those from 2004 and confronted the staff about them. They pointed out that there are two different sides of Sabal Palm (1 & 2) and that one this site, there is only one Sabal Palm so there is no real distinction between the two but for me that didn't help being that they are directly across the street from eachother. The leasing person then began to ask me a few questions and I started to see how I might not need to believe everything I read on this site even though these things are pretty scary. Finally they asked me how many times I went out of my way to make a complaint everytime I'm mad and of course as anyone else, I do it all the time. But when they asked how many times I went out of my way to contact a manager or put something in writing when I recieved the service I expected or better, I said never. I started thinking and really they are right. I get amazing service at many of the stores that I shop in and I always get calls from specific sales associates who let me know about sales and any other events that I might like but I have never written or contacted a manager to say how much I appreciated the service that I recieved. If I have a dollar for everytime I made a complaint, I'd a few thousand dollars in the bank but if I wrote or contacted someone every time I received the service that I expected or more than I expected, I would be a millionaire. All these posting seem like bashings on the staff for things that (not even the city can control) but if you look at the service they provide, I'm pretty happy with it. I love my place and more than that I may not happy with the outcome of every single interaction I have in the office, but I am happy 99% of the time and the great space in the apartments doesn't hurt especially the space and garage of my townhome. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience at Sabal Palm and I can see myself living here for the next couple of years (especially with the home purchase program they offer.)

I have to disagree. I'm the type of person who will write about good service. They still suck at returning phone calls. Everytime you call to speak to someone about an issue, they're NEVER there. Don't get me wrong, someone answers, just not the person who can resolve your issue. They owe me $30 because my ice maker was gone for a month and I had to pay for the ice. They said I needed the receipts in order to be refunded. While I can understand why, that was not acceptable for me because I did not expect the issue to drag on as long as it did. I complained about the issue on air thru a radio station and it was coincidentally "fixed" that day with an ice maker that wasn't even made for the fridge. I have to complain to the corporate office to get them to do their job. I will commend them on their gate solution as it seems to be working. However, during the time that it was broken, there was a car that was sitting on cinder blocks.
