I actually have quite a bit to say, and, to be blunt, I do not even know where to begin. I have been here over three years now, in one of the two bedroom/two bathroom townhomes (not the apartment section of the complex), and for what we pay for the 2/2, two car garage, decent sized kitchen, large living room/dining room, it is money well spent. Recently, though, as of this writing, both of our neighbors have changed at least five times. A few have been decent, and a few have been awful. The good news is, though, if you have a loud neighbor, a quick call to OPD's non-emergency number will get you an officer out here within five minutes and take care of it. I have had to call in noise complaints five times now, and the outcome has always been good. I know it sounds like, "Five times'!" but I think most people tend to just tolerate noise due to the fact they live in a complex, but you do not have to. Nextdoor having a party, and it's too loud' An officer knocking on their door WILL stop it. Parking is not an issue, but that is because of the townhome setup with the garage and "driveway" area. I cannot vouch for how good the apartment section is. I HAVE had someone park in my driveway two times now. One time I went to my neighbor and advised him to move, and he did so. The next time I simply had it towed. Just like OPD, if someone parks in your spot, I highly recommend just calling the tow truck number that is posted on the front gate, and those who do not care where they park will soon find their vehicle gone. It's great. Speaking of the gate... it's hit or miss. We have gotten COUNTLESS flyers saying gates will be fixed, cameras are in place, and anyone that breaks them will have to pay. I do not know if this is happening, especially considering one camera has vanished, and I do not know if the others are functioning. The gates constantly break, but I honestly feel it is due to residents forcing them open because they refuse to, you know, follow the rules and get their 'clickers.' The same goes for the trash compactor. Almost an unlimited number of flyers and warnings have been put all over the place advising as to the rules for using it, not leaving furniture there, etc. Still, it continues to happen even with threats of fines. Maybe if they enforced the rules they say they have, things would be different. I know all of the above sounds negative, but there are positives. Literally almost anything you want is within driving distance, and those of us who have been here for a length of time (and to be fair, we're dropping off month by month) seem to really get along and try to welcome new people. Our first ever neighborhood watch meeting was held a month or so ago, and it went well. Hopefully it will take off as time goes on. I really wish more people would just have the guts to dial the OPD non-emergency number or 911 when and if they see something. If more people did that, I think it would be a much better place. Office staff, overall, is nice. They were superior back when I first moved in, but they are still decent. Most of the time they don't seem to care about the times the office is SUPPOSED to be open, so it's hard to find someone sometimes (one even appears to think it is okay to bring her children to work with her, idiot), but if you CAN find someone, usually they are very nice. Trash is picked up daily at your front door, another positive. The grounds, overall, are kept nice. Some issues sometimes, but that is typically the fault of the residents that seem to think if they miss the trash, they should not bend down, pick it up, and try to throw it away again. So, for the price, it *IS* nice and worthwhile. Most of the people here appear to be decent, but I cannot stress enough that if you have issues with noise, all you have to do is call that OPD number, and it will be taken care of. The same goes for vehicles being towed if they park in your driveway. I tend to think people just put up with things when they REALLY don't have to. If you have any questions, feel free to post them, and I'll do my best to answer.

. . In regards to a post i hope that I can clear a few things out since i live and work on property. Serenata's office staff are really not there for the residents as much as they are their for the owners. It is a Home owners association office, not a leasing office. This is a condominium property not actual apartments so your rent is paid to the owner not the association and the owner is your first contact for questions. As for children being present at the office while the associate is at work is unprofessional, i agree, but again because this is a condominium property when a board member volunteers there time for Serenata and does not work for Serenata and chooses to bring in there child in so they won't have to pay for 20 min's of daycare i think that its acceptable. Sorry if you thought that person was an idiot, but please if you are going to post that make sure you know the situation before hand. These are the people who make sure that you as a resident are taken care of while they still continue work (not relating to serenata). Our Cameras on property are working and yes one happened to be taken down for repairs due to lightning storms in the area. As for the gates it is frustrating to have drunk residents or angry guests trying to go through closed gates. And it may seem like the association is not doing anything but in reality we have to go through insurance companies, prosecuting the driver's, review security tapes, go through a mandatory proposal process from gate companies so that the owners association fees are not being wasted to companies who say they are the best deal and then charge us a couple extra thousand to the bill and after that we then need to go through to the board with options so that they can make the final call. If you think that takes 1 day to fix you are crazy. We do enforce rules when it comes to our facility/property thats why the cameras are there, if you leave trash outside of the compactor they can get fined up to $1,000 for each occurrence. I understand that it may get a little hard to contact someone in the office but keep in mind most residents do not need to be in the office since they are dealing with the owner's directly. Because of the old management company that was running the operations of the property over 2 years ago we have to close the office on Wednesdays for accounting reconciliations and other work that needs to get done. With as many phone calls and random people just coming in the door we can't get all of our work done so closing the office is the only way to fix this problem. Our Hours for the most part have not changed M-F 9-5 with Wednesdays closed.. .
