I've lived in the Lofts for 6 months now with my girlfriend in a 2/2. Most of the people that said that the lofts overcharge and that the staff suck are only 1/10 truth. I've been in a lot of these apartments in the Lofts complex and to say the least, there is no reason what so ever why those people shouldnt be charged b/c the cleanliness was apparently left at the door. They're carpets are black filthy from the traffic and parties, spiled beer and dirt. THAT's why they're charged whhen they move out, because they leave it a mess. The way the contract states the 'no hassle-move out fee' is that if your move in chart (the one you fill out to say every detail that is wrong with your apartment when you first get in) is complient with your move out chart (See if NEW stuff is wrong)then you have no fee and they'll never ask you to move out early. Thats the contract, if you deface, permanently soil, etc., the complex WILL charge you by contracted LAW a serivce fee to clean and service the apartment. DUH! About the dumpsters, every 2 buildings have 1 dumpster so that means theres more than 1 dumpsters, some of these posters on this site don't seem to actually look around them and see the one in front, the right down the street from that etc, theres a total of 9 dumpsters in the entire complex, the 9th being a trach compactor for the maitenance crew. For a different tone, ANY apartment complex in any college area will have its parties, crimes, and robberies. The difference between me and them is that I always lock my doors, DON't go to stupid under age parties where stuff ALWAYS happens, and don't go out past 2am in a place you aren't familiar with, its common sense. My best friends 4/4 was alomst broken into b/c he left his door unlocked b/c his room-mate was on the way home. YOU CANT DO THAT FOLKS! 4/2 and 4/4 are the only ones getting into trouble if any b/c 4 people locking a door seems to be too hard for them. The staff is pretty amateur BUT if you stay persistant things WILL get done. As for overcharges in electricity, A/C is the biggest thing, keep it at 75 your fine, with an expected $20-25 overage expected. The reason is they give you a convience cap for your electric that is included in your monthly payment. Say you're in a 4/2, the cap is $150, that is more than enough for 4 people, a full blown house with a family is around 200, your college apartment shouldnt exceed that, 2/2 is 75 dollars so on. If you go over thats fine, the average person uses $50 of electricity per month. I see guys like some the posts go in with 600 dollar totals, well they have their AC set on 68 and have parties every weekend till 6am and they wonder why. In any college apartment it simply comes down to responsbility for your resources and actions, the crimes is unavoidable to HEAR about but not to be in. It's Orlando, its better then Miami lemme tell ya. Overall it isnt that bad at all, just takes a little work and responsibility on your part, the adult thing I guess. One more thing lastly, the staff has gotten alot better, one of my buildings tennants had a fire, ALL the staff was there in an instant, fire dept was there, and the carpet people were there in a matter of 10 min to suck water out from sprinklers! The boom of the lofts have dwindled leaving it to rich college buys and girls, kind of weeding out the trouble makers that had been living here before. A little noise here and there but unless you live in a house, nothing to complain about. Greatest advice to help the move out surprise fees or fires, etc.... GET RENTERS INSURANCE! DUH! If you get the extended they will cover some cost of wear and tear to your apartment and ALL costs towards fire, water damage, etc. JUST BE SMART!

YOU ARE RIGHT. PEOPLE NEED TO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR ACTIONS. MIAMI REALLY ISN'T THAT BAD. THE BOTTOM LINE IS... READ THE LEASE, IF YOU DON'T AGREE, DON'T SIGN!
