It all depends

This is my first year at the lofts. . and it has been alright . . However, it all depends on where your room is located. . If you live on the first floor (the 2 bedrooms and the single bedrooms) there is a lot of crime, simply because the most windows are covered by bushes. . and its easy for people to hide in there. However, if you live on the second floor (in the 3 and 4 bedroom apartments) there has not been one robbery. Second, if you live in the back buildings (for example, building 10) there is a lot of crime back there as well simply because most of the security is in the front (watching who comes into the apartment complex). So if you are lucky enough to get be on the second floor, and have a building towards the front, you are good to go. . .
Another thing that bothers me about the lofts is that it is filled with a bunch of rich kids who's mommy and daddy pay their rent (I mean, come on! . what student can afford the 600 dollar a month rent payment - unless you have a decent job) so therefore, a majority of the people here are stuck up ------- (like my roommates for example). I go to school full time and work full time as a tutor . . so I make just enough to pay my rent, tuition, and all that junk. But my roommates pay their rent through their mommy and daddy. . So they have no respect for the electricity overages or conserving energy costs. . The other month our electricity bill was $230 ! ! Its ridiculous ! ! And the reason we have such high electricity costs is b/c those ------- leave the lights on all the time, they want the air at 74 degree's and simply just wait electricity. . Also, I expect that their mommy and daddy cleaned up after them at home because none of them know how to take out the trash, clean their dishes, or clean anything for that matter. .
so my advise to you is to live in a apartment on the second floor close to the front entrance. . and DO NOT TAKE RANDOM ROOMMATES ! ! because trust me, a lot of them are complete helpless rich unappreciative -------.

AMEN sistah. I concur with everything you said. Rich snobby stuck up kids, not cleaning up after themselves and second floor more security.
I used to live in a 4/2 loft second floor of course no crime problems or noise problems my view was pretty/
Now im in a 4/2 flat and the third day i moved in someone stole my laptop.
One of my roomates doesnt clean, she doesnt clean the bathroom doesnt buy toliet paper doesnt clean the kitchen, doesnt do her dishes, when she does them like once a month its because we ----- at her, right now theres a ---- load of dirty dishes that belongs to her. DONT LIVE WITH RANDOMN ROOMATES IS CORRECT!!!

I lived the lofts 2006-2007, and I was on the second story in a 4/4 near the front, by the pool and basketball courts. During spring break that year, there was an attempted robbery in my unit. They broke the window but fortunately didn't get in because my roommates boyfriend was coming home as they were trying to get in. They ran away. Regardless of where you live, you still need to take all of the precautions.
Also, I lived with 2 friends, and one random roommate, who was actually really nice. All of our parents paid our rent, and everybody was nice (and CLEAN) and we made a lot of friends.
I will admit though, that studying was hard with all of the partying, butthat is what you can expect living in a college apartment
