WARNING: Worst place I've ever lived.....

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I moved to this complex because good friends of mine had lived here the two years before and I'd been a frequent visitor. It seemed great, until I moved in.The 1st time we got robbed my laptop was stolen along with my Ipod ($1800 worth). The 2nd time we got robbed my roommates 32" TV and PS3 were stolen along with my surround sound system and $150 cash from my roommate ($2000 worth).
Unfortunately the office failed to inform the residents that in a 2-week period at least one apartment from nearly every building had been robbed. One of my friends had his car broken into 4 times, he parks it at the front every night by security with hope of it not happening again. Our neighbors got robbed a few nights after our 1st robbery.
That brings me to the newly-added security that was brought in this year due to the high crime rate. It sounds helpful, but the second time we were robbed, it was right after the security was hired, when they were the most strict when checking people in. Now, you can just wave and drive by, and that's all you need to come into the Lofts.
Even with our apartment's losses in this year, the worst thing happened Super Bowl Sunday this year. My roommate and I were out in our building's hallway and heard a loud shot from across the complex. It was 1pm and neither of us thought of it being a big deal. Unfortunately, the noise turned out to be a shotgun that was shot at a roommate of one of my friends. His roommate opened the door on a Sunday afternoon finding a shotgun in his face, the assailant not only held him up, but also pointed it at my buddy's face. When the roommate took off running, he shot at him and luckily missed. And if you think I'm making that up, look it up, Super Bowl Sunday 2008, it was in the papers. The worst part is when my buddy who was robbed had no intention of living there any longer, the office forced him to pay a $500 cancellation fee to get out of his lease.
To sum it up for you, 2 of my roommates moved out over a month early on their leases because they hate this place so much. I'm moving out 3 weeks early on my lease to an apartment that instead of having $9/hour security sitting at the front smoking a cigarette, there are actual police that strictly patrol the complex. With all the crime, the horrible service from the office staff, the dirt black carpet they gave us when we moved in, and the work orders that would take weeks to get done, I can honestly say that out of my 3 years of living in the UCF area, this has been the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in, and made my junior year of college a living hell.
