Oh boy-where to start! Baldwin Park is very pretty to look at but a nightmare to live in. There is construction going on constantly and it usually starts outside my window about 7 am. THis means that your car will always be dusty and dirty and you get to deal with fun stuff like nails in your tires from the work crews not picking up after themselves. The elevator always sounds like it is going to drop you to your death, the lobby is filthy and unsafe with alarms constantly going off and stains all over the floor. THe problems within our apartment were always fixed provided we went to maintenence staff directly and not to erin, the leasing manager. She has a bad habit of not giving them work orders and them making it look like it is their fault your apartment is not fixed. THe stores open in the village center vary from very good (publix, valdiano's, seito, planet beach) to teriible (fresh mouth burger, la china, magic nails, p.j.'s)
There are also a lot of "daddy's money" college students living here with no type of respect for the community or neighbors. All in all WAY overpriced for what you get. If you want constant drama and headaches move right in, otherwise look elsewhere
