Ok so I've just moved from the Village. The only major problem I had was noise. In particular two apartments in my building were the consistently noisy apartments. Yes, I did call the police on them and I also had an alarm system which called the police quite a few times when we were out of town. I lived there for three years. The people that were placed with me were all pretty quiet people. I had one girl who was an OCD freak who ---- in our laundry room when she moved (oh yeah go ahead and laugh but if you had to clean it up you wouldn't laugh). But otherwise I've had respectable people.
One guy said that all those kids parents paid their rent and what not. I'm one of those exceptions I worked full time for three years to pay my rent. But I do agree that most of the kids that live there are damned fools!!! And the rent is way too expensive. It's cheaper to rent a 'non-college' apartment and spilt the rent. It's 2 grand for a big apartment. That kind of apartment would normally run like $1200 at best everyother place. I agree it's well worth going the extra 5-10 minutes to get the quiet. I'm the person who likes to attend the party not throw it. It's an inconvience and people mess your stuff up most of the time. I have to say in closing that I was glad that at least I didn't live at Jefferson Commons. That place is insane!
If you have to live here be prepared for what you may encounter and for some noise. I was in the front room this past year... that's major noise... avoid that if you can... if you don't like your roommates tell them they will move you. You may have to ask a few times but they will move you and if something is broke. Make them fix it. It took us four months to get a new front door and they eventually took the one off of the show model b/c you could take a butter knife and open our front door from outside...

ok well hope that helped... aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

Was your roommates name Kayla? B/c it sounds like I lived with you - I had almost exactly the same experience. I lived with one girl for 2 years & then the other two rotated. The girl w/ me for 2 years became best friends with one and the other was an ocd cleaning freak. She wouldn't use our vacuum. And when she moved - she shite in our laundry room. I swear she was the one b/c she left her mop and bucket and one of her towels - which was weird since she was ALWAYS cleaning - seriously she would vacuum like 2 or 3 times a day and never ate any of our food. She ran out of jam and I had an unopened jar and she wouldn't eat it - she had a fit when I offered and I was like well I know you're about the cleaning and anti-germs -so it's not opened if you want some jam
