When you move in, the apartment condition is decent. They only replace carpet in the ??worst?? rooms (never mind that most of the rooms need replacement carpets anyway). Be sure to check for mold in your bathrooms and kitchens ?? we??ve already had to complain about it in our apartment. It hasn??t come time yet for me to get my security deposit back, so god only knows if the cleaning job I??ve done on this place backfires on me like the last person who wrote a review. But one last bit of advice: the lease states that you MUST provide a 30 days notice of intent to vacate, otherwise, you pretty much forfeit the deposit.

There is a fair amount of crime in the area. Two girls last semester were raped at gunpoint, several windows have been smashed, and the window above my own was shot into. The area the rapes occurred in is the area that you??ll be most likely to get a parking spot in after eleven, because parking is an absolute nightmare. They??ve made the size of each parking space smaller over the years, so you will get dings in the sides of your car no matter what. Not to mention, the complex doesn??t enforce either closing the gates (it??s been broken for over a year) OR using the hanging tags that are assigned, so you??ll generally never get a parking spot close to your apartment at night. Just don??t count on the safety of yourself or your car here.

About half of the residents have pets. Only some of them can get away with it scot-free, and anyone else gets served a pet fee and possible eviction?? but you still have to pay the remainder of the rent until your lease is up.

Office staff will only do the bare minimum to help you. The only way to overcome this treatment is to become best buddies with them, so they don??t lose your packages and don??t get you in trouble with management for having pets.

Maintenance is completely great. Both of the maintenance guys are nice, and they will fix anything you need really soon after you put in a work order.

Best advice: If you??re a partying sorority or fraternity member looking for average student housing, you??ll probably love it here. If you expect better from an apartment complex, take your $550 a month and rent a house with people you know; it??s a better investment and a LOT safer.
