First of all, for any of you who already live in the Villages, go back and read your lease, and under the section discussing security, note that it says, "management is not responsible for the safety of residents". Had I seen that, I would have NEVER signed the lease. Aside from the rude people working in the office, the less-than-functional utilities, and the lack of visitor parking, the safety of the residents is constantly at risk. I witnessed a shooting take place no less than 15 ft. from my front door. Last year, the number of apartment break-ins had finally exceeded the number of car break-ins. The people working in the office are less than helpful, and are probably the same age as half the people living in the apartments. I have yet to speak to an actual adult (someone NOT in their 20's) and have had to deal with the inconsistency and inconsideration of those working in the office. Even after someone was shot outside our building, management refused to allow people to break their leases. I can only imagine the number of phone calls they received from furious parents. My parents are so fed up with the complex that if I do get evicted, at least I will be out of this joke of an apartment complex. How they are still in business, I don't know. The only decent employees are the maintenance men, who also cannot stand the way this business is run. I recommend that anyone who wants to live in a safe, functional, respectable environment stay very far away from the Villages at Science Drive.

yeah stuff happens, and we are unable to protect ourselves, the lease also takes our second amendment rights away so that if somebody does break into my apartment, I have to resort to hand to hand combat or let them steal my stuff. I think that it is ridiculous. I witnessed a man getting shot in the parking lot outside my apartment and there hasnt been a thing done to change security.

and if they really wanted to change security around.... you honestly think they would tell you? and do you not see any kind of issue with college student's running around with maybe registered, maybe not registered handguns? if it was that important you should choose to live someplace else? maybe you should do the smart thing and call, i dont know, the police to handle a robbery?

GREAT IDEA!!!!!! Lets let a bunch of childen run around with guns on property after having a few too many shots of JAger then while they are making those great decisions lets be held personally responsible seriously? I dont even live there and thats a stupid comment.
