decent place to live

i have been living at watauga woods apts for 6 years with my son. i agree with the poster who stated that the people who have the problems are mostly caused by themselves or are problems associated with all apartment living. noise sometimes from upstairs neighbors? dont live on ground floor. maintinance takes 1 week to repair a doornob? 4 guys for 400 apts, give em a break. left notes on your door about plants and kids loitering outside apts? clearly defined in your lease as unacceptable. the community is getting a little older so you start to have the issue with that but in the last 2 years all the buildings have been resided, re roofed, re painted, and replaced all the linolioem in kitchen and laudry rooms. the lawn matience and landscaping guys are out 2 x a week and the pest control 1x a month. there was an influx of bugs after the hurricanes(as in all of central florida ) but was dealt with swiftly and aggressively by management. maintinace workers are behind on nuicence items but are out right away for major issues like toilets or ac. The office staff deals swiftly and harshly with people who bring down our neighborhood, evicting them quickly and efficently as soon as it is brought to their attention. When there was an increase in crime in the entire conway area they brought in a night security officer to patrol, and the only violent crime that has happened here ( and i work for the local EMS system) was a home invasion in 4/2006 but those individuals were known to each other and were targeted. Could have happened anywhere. Watauga woods is not a 5 star resort where people wait on you hand and foot but they are large apts at a fair rate with pretty good track records and a decent school district that i feel safe raising my son in.

Love how you say they come for major issues like the AC. They left us without and AC for almost a week in the middle of summer. All it turned out to be was a switch they had forgot to switch back on, on the box outside. I'm not sure how that was caused by me.

I do not know how the people said that this place is good for living...I lived there I had to complaint everytime for roaches and bad staff service. PLEASE STAY AWAY OF THIS COMPLEX ..pufff!!!
