Their has been 3 break ins on the first floor apartments within the last 4 months. The office didn't help with making residents feel safe. The office manager is rude and needs an attiude adjustment. The gates are hardly ever closed. Maintence takes days. I would not recommend this place unless you do not care much for your items in your apartment, or if you do not care if people are mean to you and you can stand loud music. The walls are paper thin.

No matter where you live your home can be broken into. The gates are for controlled access not security-where there is a will there is a way- if someone wants to break in, vandalize, or hurt you they will find a way even if you lived in Windermere. How do you expect management to make you feel safe? They are here to maintain the community not hold your hand. I feel they are doing an excellent job. I have lived here for a year and have not had any major problems. If you can't deal with hearing other people and have trouble communicating with management you should probably buy a house far away from other people.

I was actually going to apply for these apartments until reading the reviews. In the brochure, it says extra soundproofing between apartments, which is one of the reasons I wanted this apartment (my current neighbors are very noisy late at night) Now I can deal with misleading info on the brochure but the break ins are something i cannot risk. This review seems helpful. And realistic is right, no matter where you live you arent safe from break ins, but 3 times in a month?? That seems like too much.
